Printer setup and troubleshooting in Port Ludlow
Printers that say they’re offline, won’t join the Wi-Fi, or print blank pages. I come to you, get it printing from every device, and show you how to keep it that way.
Sound familiar?
The printer calls I get most.
- The printer says it’s offline, but it’s right there.
- A new printer is still in the box.
- It won’t connect to the Wi-Fi after you changed the router.
- It prints blank, streaky or faded pages.
- The scanner won’t send scans to the computer.
- You can’t print from your phone or iPad.
What happens on a visit
See the setup
I look at the printer, the computer and the Wi-Fi together, since the problem is usually between them.
Connect it
The printer goes on the Wi-Fi and every device that needs it gets set up.
Test it
We print and scan from each device while I’m there.
Write it down
You get a card with the printer’s name and the steps for next time.
Common questions
Should I buy an inkjet or a laser printer?
If you print a few pages a week, a laser printer costs more to buy and far less to run, and it won’t dry out between uses. If you print photos, you want an inkjet. I’ll tell you which fits before you buy.
Can you make it print from my phone?
Usually, yes. Most printers made in the last few years can print from an iPhone, iPad or Android phone once they’re on the same Wi-Fi and set up properly.
Ready for a printer that just prints?
Call and tell me what's happening. You'll talk to me, not a call center.
