Medical alert and fall-detection setup in Port Ludlow

A pendant still in its box, an Apple Watch that could detect a fall if someone turned it on, Medical ID never filled in. I set it up and we test it, with the family on the phone.

I set up and test the device you and your doctor chose. Which one to choose is a medical and family decision, not mine.

Sound familiar?

When the family asks for a little more safety.

  • A pendant in a drawer that nobody set up.
  • An Apple Watch that could detect a fall, if someone turned it on.
  • Emergency SOS and Medical ID never filled in.
  • A family member who wants to be the contact.
  • You’re not sure it works outside the house.
  • It needs charging, and nobody remembers.

What happens on a visit

  1. Set it up

The pendant, the watch or the phone, connected and turned on properly.

  2. Fill in Medical ID and contacts

Conditions, medications and the people to call, where a responder would look.

  3. Test it, with the family on the phone

Pendant services take test calls, so we make one. A watch or phone we walk through on screen, without dialing.

  4. Make charging a habit

A charger where it will be used, and a reminder that fits your day.

Common questions

Which medical alert should I get?

That’s a decision for you, your doctor and your family. Once you’ve chosen, I set it up and test it with you.

Does an Apple Watch really detect falls?

It can, when the setting is on and the watch is worn. I turn it on and show you on screen what would happen, without triggering a real call.

Will it call 911 by itself?

Some do, if you don’t respond within a short time. I show you exactly what yours does, step by step, before you rely on it.

Ready to have help one press away?

Call and tell me what's happening. You'll talk to me, not a call center.
