Scam recovery and hacked-account help in Port Ludlow

A scary call, a pop-up with a number, a link you clicked, someone in your computer. I stop the damage, lock everything down, and help you report it, without judgment.

Sound familiar?

If any of these happened, call before you click anything else.

  • A pop-up says the computer is infected and gives a number to call.
  • Someone called saying they’re from Microsoft, Apple or the bank.
  • You gave someone remote access and now you’re worried.
  • Friends got strange messages from your account.
  • There’s a payment you didn’t make.
  • Someone told you to buy gift cards and read them the numbers.

What happens on a visit

  1. Stop the bleeding

Disconnect what they’re in, end any remote access, and pause anything still happening.

  2. Check for damage

What they saw, changed or installed, on the computer and in the accounts.

  3. Lock it down

New passwords and two-factor protection on email, banking and anything they touched.

  4. Report it, together

The bank, the card, and the reports that give the best chance of getting something back.

Common questions

Should I call my bank?

Yes, if any card or account detail was shared, call the number on the back of your card first. I handle the computer side while you do.

Can you get the money back?

No one can promise that. What I can do is stop it continuing, secure the accounts, and help you file the reports that give the best chance.

Worried you’ve been scammed?

Call and tell me what's happening. You'll talk to me, not a call center.
